By exploiting the power and flexibility of digital pathology, we are able to offer our services to hospitals, labs and healthtech companies worldwide
IPSCON is committed to supporting pathologists, hospitals and
laboratories worldwide. Our scalable service model combines expert
knowledge from our Board with secure and strict protocol-based review workflows, supporting individual consultations as well as ring trials and tumor boards. Whether your project involves occasional first or second opinions, or massive clinical trial analyses and annotations, IPSCON can help you achieve your goals, now and in the future.
We provide pathology services in countries where there is a shortage of pathologists, to hospitals needing particular subspecialty expertise, to institutions with limited pathology resources and/or heavy workload, to AI and healthtech companies, etc.
Our services rely heavily on digital pathology. Today, high quality WSI scanners have become mainstream and are available in all sizes and performances, from very affordable to high throughput. If your pathology lab is not digitized yet, our experts can assist you in setting up and deploying facilities for scanning slides into whole slide images. IPSCON also offers you access to its CE-IVD certified cloud-based digital pathology platform, providing secure user logins, WSI uploads, dashboards for workflow monitoring, WSI storage, reporting etc.
Contact usIn many countries there is a structural shortage of trained pathologists. In much of Africa, for example, there is only one pathologist for about a million people. But even in countries with a well developed health care system, pathology is a bottleneck profession, with more pathologists retiring than
graduating. In many pathology labs there
is an accute workforce shortage of pathologists, and healthtech companies are struggling to find trained pathologists for their drug discovery projects.
The IPSCON Board members share a common belief that digital pathology will dramatically improve efficiency, productivity, and reliability. Most importantly,
it enables pathologists to perform their biopsy analyses on cloud stored digital
images anywhere and anytime, a practice often referred to as telepathology.
Telepathology allows expertise to be shared in primary and secondary
diagnosis and peer review, and exploited in places where there is a short
of seasoned pathologists.
IPSCON's mission is to foster better treatment
decisions and improve patient care by providing its services and expertise to hospitals,
laboratories, healthcare research sites and companies worldwide.
By pathologists, for pathologists.
